The Berean Way (TBW) was founded by Jeff Valdes and officially
recognized as a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization in 2005. It
became clear that this needed to be a separate organization
after years of partnering with different evangelists for international
travel and Bible teaching ministry.

Jeff’s Resume
TEACH.
Confirmation. Pastor Jeff was confirmed by the Board of Elders at Rolling Hills Community Church as a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 2005.
Rolling Hills Community Church (member since 1979). Jeff has led or taught classes for a variety of different ministries including the Adult Life Development 101, 201 and 301, the Single Adults group, College & Beyond, Segue, Senior High school, Junior High school and was a Junior High camp speaker. Jeff and his wife, Erin, enjoy working on marriage counseling together and continue to lead the Community Group they started in 2000.
EQUIP.
Education. Jeff credits his parent's constant sacrifice so their kids would be raised with a Chirst-centered and Bible-centered education which included West Hills Christian School, Lakeridge High School, Oregon State University and Western Seminary.
Milities Christi [Knights of Christ]. An intense, 12-week training program, created in 1993 to challenge and equip those high school men who have shown a propensity to become Christian leaders at church, campus and in their communities. The Berean Way found its core roots from this program.
DUPLICATE.
Discipleship. Jeff has discipled dozens of young men for over a decade. Starting in junior high, many of Jeff’s students have since graduated from college, been married, having children and are now adults training their own disciples in Christ.
The Huddle. A men’s verse-by-verse inductive Bible study group he started in 2003 that continues to meet every Thursday morning as the survey through the each individual book of the Bible.
Sharpening Iron. After 15 years in the commercial real estate industry, there was a real opportunity to gather the Christian brokers and developers in the Portland metropolitan area. Jeff teamed with Dan Swift and Todd Sheaffer to create a bi-monthly lunch meeting to share Scripture, testimonies, challenges and successes for those professionals seeking fellowship while “being in the world, but not of the world.”
Family. Jeff has been married to Erin, his wife and best friend, for 10 years and they have three beautiful children, Ranger (8), Arabella (6), and Andie (almost 4). |
